Interviews are use extensively by investigators and others to establish the facts of a case, complaint or accuracy of information given. This course conducted by experience practitioners will provide participants with the application skills to conduct effective interviews to get the information required. The course is suitable for all personnel tasked with an investigative function and those required to conduct interviews as a screening or verification process to determine the accuracy of information given. HR and other officers conducting pre-employment interviews and inquiries into complaints will benefit most from this course. It is also beneficial to supervisors who are required to interview subordinates, contractors and their workers for various purposes as part of their work or duties. Some examples are in-house security and investigation staff, Compliance, Credit and Loan officers, F&B and other service sector supervisors. |

| Outline: | 0930 – 1130: FIELD INVESTIGATION TECHNIQUES
Not all investigations can be resolved through conventional methods. Increasingly undercover operations are being conducted against offenders who conduct illegal activities adopting syndicated methods to prevent detection. Often such cases are solved through information supplied by informers or gathered through skillful surveillance. In some cases it is even necessary to trap the professional culprits by turning the tables on them using the same covert techniques they use or with the latest investigation technology. 1130 – 1500: LEGAL REQUIREMENTS & DOCUMENTATION (Lunch: 1230 – 1330)
This module covers the legal requirements imposed on investigations and the evidence obtained. To prove your case it is necessary to understand the legal requirements especially in terms of the evidence needed to support the case and conducting a fair and proper investigation including the documentation process and final report that will provide a definitive course of action. Also included are the best practices in preparing your case for Court or other review committee. 1500 – 1730: INTERROGATION TECHNIQUES
